Update from the Big Hollow Superintendent

Big Hollow Parents/Guardians-


I hope you have all had a wonderful week.  Tonight we are hosting our annual “Trunk or Treat” from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., so please feel free to bring your kids to enjoy a great community event.  


I want to put a short plug in for “Parent Square”, which is the platform we use for communication. As I have mentioned before, you do not need to create a Parent Square account, as you will continue to get all communications from us in the format you are getting them now.  However, we are seeing more and more parents downloading the app and finding this to be a better way to stay connected to BHSD38.  If you would like more information, please see the links below:

  • Important Upcoming Dates

    • Monday, October 21st:  Citizen Advisory Council Meeting:  6:00 p.m. at BHMS Library.

    • Friday, November 1st:  No School– Teacher Institute Day

    • Monday, November 4th:  No School:  Parent/Teacher Conferences from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

    • Tuesday, November 5th:  No School:  Election Day (mandated non-attendance day by the State of Illinois).
